One of the most used tools that I use is the Google Insight for Search facility. It offers a range of beneficial features for finding and tracking keywords and search terms. Want to know what people in Wales are looking for? Want to know what products people in Canada are researching? Then this is the tool for you.

Insight for Search

This tools provides historical data on search queries and terms that you can sort by time, location and category. It also allows you to search trends and set keywords or phrases and compare different keywords to each other.

By drilling down you can find additional  related keywords and their trends over time, geographic region or in relation to similar keywords.

Free keyword research tool

This is one of the most powerful free keyword research tools on the Internet. It can provide you with the opportunity to compare different keywords over time, it allows you to discover the trends of those individual keywords over time and it also gives you the breaking keywords that are related to your suggestions so you can get on the ‘up’ of new terms when competition may still be relatively low.

You can also use the tool to find out if different countries have different localised terms for your suggested keyword and you can check if any of the different Google search have a particularly high use of your keyword. So you can drill down for keyword use in web search, news search, product search and image search.

Learn about Insight for Search

The best way to get to know how to use Google Insight for Search is to watch the introductory video tutorial above and then just play with the tool. Insight is very easy to use and after just spending an hour or two playing and experimenting with it you will soon become proficient in it’s use and realise how powerful it can be.

The tool has a good help feature to enable you to learn about it’s many features but hand’s on use is the best way to learn.
