Using the pages facility in Wordpress allows you to put more stable and permanent content into your web site. Although there is no category facility in Wordpress for pages you can put in place pseudo categories by using the hierarchy function.

It is important to use the hierarchy facility for your pages as the parent or main page will be used in the menu of your site. If you have many pages without using the hierarchy facility you will end up with many links in your menu and visitors will find it confusing to navigate around your site. Using the hierarchy ability will also allow search engines to define what each section of your site is all about.
The video shows how to put in place ‘categories’ of pages and also how to embed a YouTube video into your page.
